Jennifer Conlin has worked in journalism since 1984 when she moved to New York after graduating from the master's program at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. She began her career at The American Lawyer magazine, and then went on to work for Manhattan, inc., a business magazine where she made a name covering her own industry...media. Following her marriage to a Reuters Television journalist based in Washington D.C. in 1989, she moved to the nation's capital and worked as a staff writer for The Washingtonian magazine. One year later, they moved with Reuters to London for what was meant to be a two-year posting. Sixteen years later, she has lived in London, Brussels, Paris, and now London once again. Each of her three children were born in a different country. During her nearly two decades in Europe she has written for a variety publications.

Deciding that someone had to finally make serious fun of the over parenting movement, Jennifer wrote The Perfect Parents Handbook in 2004 (St. Martins Press.) She now writes regularly on European travel for the New York Times, as well as business for the International Herald Tribune.
