| Life continues to be interesting, as I moved to Cairo this past autumn for my husband’s job here in Egypt working in the global broadcasting industry. After a brief sojourn from the New York Times, I am finally back to my travel exploits writing about this fascinating region of the world for the paper—look for my first article from the Middle East in January. In the meantime, having moved three children to Egypt—teenagers, no less—I am busy helping them get adjusted to a new life.
Had I known our fate, perhaps I would have added another parent category to The Perfect Parents Handbook--American expatriate families--but who knew? I will admit I already miss writing the Green Traveler column for the New York Times, but am looking forward to chronicling our amazing adventures here. In fact, I have already begun. Check out my new blog http://jenniferconlin.typepad.com/destination-anywhere/ to learn what it is like to uproot a family and move to the other side of the world!
Hope you enjoy it.
